Calcium is the most abundant mineral in the body and about 99% is stored in the bones and teeth. We all grew up learning that calcium is essential for our bones and teeth but did you know it’s also essential for energy metabolism, muscle contraction (including the heart), nerve function, enzymes needed for digestion as well as blood clotting.
